The Team...
Starting as the smallest of amateur teams in the late 80s, by the mid 2000s had progressed to competing in professional Grand-Am / IMSA events.
Growing up a couple of lakes over from Watkins Glen, the founders of Bildon Motorsport, Don Thompson and Bill Sulouff, had a long history in and around International Sports Car Racing.
Bill & Don would often head down to “the Glen” when the Trans-Am, CART or IMSA GT series rolled in. Soon they would join the SCCA to get closer to the action. The pair was introduced to the wide variety of cars and teams competing in SCCA amateur racing…and hey, this looked achievable! They were hooked, and the rest, as they say… is history.

The Business...
In the late 90’s we created Bildon.com and with some personal connections in Wolfsburg, the VW Motorsport parts importing and sales business was born.
1998 - The beginning
A racing enterprise focused on the performance enhancement of VWs.
2002 - Double Trouble
What's better than one winning GTI?
2005 - Strength to Strength
Year to year sales double allowing continued product line expansion.
2007 - Bildon goes Pro
Bildon moves to professional racing. Partnering with GSM we enter the Grand-Am Koni Cup with an mk5 GTI.
2012 - auf Wiedersehen
After over a decade in business Bildon Motorsport shuts down the retail parts business to focus on other ventures.
The Racing...
Growing up near Watkins Glen the Bildon team has been around international sports car racing from the beginning.
After college Don set off to build the first VW race car while Bill went to work for a few IMSA programs.
In the late 90’s they reunited to form Bildon Motorsport and the rest is history.
