VW’s release of the mk4 VW Golf coincided roughly with the startup of Bildon Motorsport’s online business. As a result the VW Motorsport development of these cars was very influential at the time. 

Our friends at RSG-Wolfsburg ran a fabulous VW Golf 4 endurance car based on an FIA 2L “Kit Car”.  Bildon was lucky enough to visit the RSG shops in 2000 and accompany them to the Nurburgring 24.  Bildon also worked with Brett Erickson Racing who campaigned an mk4 Golf GTI in the SCCA World Challenge.

Unfortunately the final development timeline for the mk4 coincided with the unplanned dissolution of the enterprise, leaving the car unfinished.
