The Golf GTI was rebuilt from a very successful SCCA ITB car to an SCCA “Limited Prep” H Production car in 2020.   Major changes included removing hundreds of pounds, relocating existing weight, rebuilding the engine and modifying the suspension and brakes to the extent of the Production Car specs. 

The car is still not fully developed.  However it has already proven to be fast enough to run at the front.  

In just a few development seasons, this GTI has already had multiple wins and a Majors pole position. While Bildon isn’t chasing a national travel schedule these days, it’s incredibly satisfying to see the build deliver on its potential. In the right hands, there’s no doubt that this car can be a Runoffs contender.
