Porsche 996 C2
The Porsche 996 Carrera 2 was built to Grand-AM GS specifications. With minor modifications the car is able to compete in numerous series. These include; SCCA T2, NASA GTS3, PCA Club Racing H Stock and SVRA.
After seeing first hand the success of the 996/997 platform in Grand-Am GS, while racing the Bildon mk5 GTI in Grand-Am ST, the Porsche racing bug bit hard.
Originally, the car was used only for PCA DE instruction and Time Trials. Over time the car has competed in numerous events with a number of sanctioning bodies.
Volkswagen Golf mk2 GTI
Built in 1996, the Bildon Motorsport Golf GTI competed very successfully in the SCCA’s Improved Touring B class. Since 2020, it now competes in the SCCA’s H Production class.
Originally built in the old Jim Downing shops in Brookhaven, GA, the car ran for years in the SAARC. It campaigned in ProIT and the ECR series, including multiple ARRCs and the Moroso (PBIR) 24 hours.
When the team moved back north, a second Golf GTI was built. The two GTIs raced successfully throughout the North East for years, winning multiple divisional championships along the way. Car #55 was then later rebuilt in 2020 to compete nationally in the SCCA’s H Production class.
