SCCA Road Racing: Touring 2 Class

3.4L / 3.6L (update/backdate ’98-’05) 3,050lbs.

Built largely to 996 Cup specs with the exception of the engine and spring rates.
SCCA T2 mandates max spring rate of 1000#.
Hard bushings all around. Moton double adjustable dampers.
18″ CCW and Apex SM-10 with DOT slicks.

Fully rebuilt, sleeved M96 with oiling mods for longevity.
Cylinder heads are stock. Gearbox is stock.

MP cars are required to use DOT racing tires.
Select sports cars and sedans raced between 1973 and 5 years prior to today. Production-based cars such as Motorola Cup or other stock / prepared racing series. Early IMSA GTO and GTU small bore cars on an individual basis. Eg; Corvette, Viper, Mustang, Panoz, Datsun, Nissan Z cars, and various BMW, Porsche and Ferraris.

SCCA Time Trials:

Cars prepared to SCCA T2, T3 and T4 are permitted to compete as is, provided they run Time Trials legal tires.

Car is legal as is with 200tw tires

Level 3 – Modified Category – Race cars that keep to the fundamentals of a production chassis.

• more than 800-1199 lbs/Liter naturally aspirated.
• 2900lbs/3.6L = 805 lb/L
    • should weigh 90% or more than curb weight
• 1999 Curb Weight – 2,910 to 3,197 lbs
